A large number of waste items are disposed of each day. While most people generate waste, Ritu and Surya Singh use waste materials to create art. Both of them are self-taught artists. The Wolf Jaipur in Jaipur is a startup in India by Ritu and Surya Singh.

The Message Behind The Wolf Jaipur

Ritu and Surya work with discarded, scrap, and waste material. They highlight different social issues through their artwork. Ritu mentioned that “The aim is to tell stories related to our land through the art pieces created by us. “

Once they collect the waste, they make art objects, spaces, and installations.

Collection Of Waste Material

The duo’s farm is 30 minutes away from Jaipur. They collect all the waste material required for artwork.

Surya mentioned that “we collect waste material and keep storing it in our farm until we have enough to create something new out of it.”

Waste materials like torn carpet, broken jewelry, chillums, springs, beads are used. Sometimes they store waste material for 5-6 years to use it later, for art creation.

Collaborative Experiential Show

Every installation by the Wolf team is called ‘Collaborative Experiential Show.’ Every artist is free to put their idea in the installation. First, the entire team comes up with a social topic. Then an art installation is created depicting the social issue.

All the artists are free to put their ideas and creativity into the art installation. This entire concept brings in different people and unique ideas together.
