Healthy snacks! Finding the right one for children can be a challenging task for parents, especially when it comes to finding healthy options. With so many snacks on the market, it can be difficult to know which ones are truly nutritious and tasty.
Two mothers who had been friends for ages struggled to find healthy snacks that their families would actually enjoy. Despite their efforts, they found it difficult to find options that both satisfied their cravings and met their nutritional standards.
The founders of Snaqary, Anchal and her friend, saw a gap in the market and decided to take matters into their own hands. These experienced entrepreneurs knew firsthand the difficulty of finding tasty and nutritious snacks, so they created Snaqary, a brand dedicated to providing just that.
Anchal, with a background in exporting and corporate gifting, remembers all too well the struggles of finding a diverse and satisfying range of healthy snacks. And thus, a new era in snacking was born.
‘Grandma Sparked The Idea’ – The Start Of ‘Snaqary’
The inspiration for Snaqary came from the founders’ grandmothers, who always taught them how to make their food healthier by adding nutritious ingredients like grains and greens to dishes like samosas and kachoris. This belief in the power of traditional, natural ingredients is what drives Snaqary to create healthy snacks free of preservatives. With a wide variety of over 35 products, they have been able to provide tasty, nutritious snacks to over 50,000 satisfied customers across the country.
Just like this mothers duo, Rukmini Banerjee could not find healthy snacks for her kids, She launched ‘The Growing Giraffe’ – Snacks with No sugar, No artificial favors and No maida – Read here.
Anchal and her business partner wanted to create a food brand with a unique selection of snacks. They worked with experienced vendors to develop a variety of options, including organic and plant-based options as well as traditional snacks like baked goods, roasted treats, sauces and dips, puris, sev, sticks, and seeds. The process of creating a commercial recipe took almost a year, but they were finally able to bring their products to market with a diverse menu that they hoped would appeal to a wide range of customers.
Healthy Snacks! Mind-Blowing Recipe
In their quest to offer healthier snack options, the mothers duo didn’t shy away from experimenting with multigrain ingredients and reinventing traditional recipes. Take their sev, for example. Instead of sticking to just chickpea flour, they mixed in grains like ragi, bengal gram, lentils, and corn to create a snack that’s both tasty and nutritious. They even took a beloved snack like bakarwadi and gave it a healthier twist by using whole wheat flour and baking instead of frying.
But the duo didn’t stop there. They also came up with a tasty and healthier version of the traditional snack, Puri. Made with bajra flour and a variety of spices and greens, with just a hint of maida for binding, their ready-to-eat Bajra Puris come in four tasty flavors: methi, palak, peri peri, and cream and onion. And the best part? All of their products are preservative-free and have zero trans fat. Packaged for a shelf life of five to six months domestically and eight to nine months for export, these snacks are ready to be enjoyed by everyone, including those in Bhutan.
The snack brand has soared in popularity, accumulating a devoted customer base of over 50,000 in just two years. From their humble beginnings in Mumbai, they have now brought their tasty treats to fans in Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. These snacks can be found not only in physical stores, but also on popular online marketplaces such as Amazon, Big Basket, and the brand’s own website. The company’s rapid rise to success is a testament to the deliciousness and quality of its snacks.
