The Mega IPL Auction 2022 is slated to be on the 12th and 13th of February. An event everyone all around the globe will look forward to. And why not, after all, it’s a Mega IPL Auction. With Big players retained in the Squads, every team would want a mix of experience and raw talents in the IPL Auction.
Players like Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, David Warner, and Ravichandran Ashwin will surely go for gold. But then there are Dark Horses in the form of Uncapped Players that will make it big in the IPL Auction. History has been a witness that every team that has shown faith in the Local talents, they have done wonders for them. Be it Rituraj Gaikwad, Harshal Patel, or Prasidh Krishna in the Past IPL seasons.
Here is a list of 7 Uncapped Indian players that will start a bidding war between 10 Giant teams in the IPL Auction.
1. IPL Auction – Shahrukh Khan
(Base Price – 40 Lakhs)
Making his team Tamilnadu win with the last ball sixer in a thriller of a final, Shahrukh khan has already grabbed eyeballs in the previous edition of Ipl auction when Punjab Kings bought him for 5.25 Crore.
Shahrukh khan who is literally named after the ‘King of Bollywood’ has started his career to be no less than a jewel. He has recently been called up for the Indian Squad as a reserve player as well.
Khan hit 40 unbeaten off 19 balls in the quarter-final match against Himachal Pradesh and struck out 18 unbeaten in seven games in the final where Tamil Nadu defeated Baroda to win the title.
He followed that up with an impressive performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, making 253 runs at a rate of 42.16 with a strike rate of 186.02.
2. Ipl Auction – Avesh Khan
(Base Price – 40 Lakhs)
It was the 2021 IPL Games from Avesh Khan that grabbed attention. He was part of the Delhi Capitals set up for four years. But last season he got a chance right from the start and ended up playing all the games.
He took the wickets, was economical, and bowled with great momentum. He finished second with the most wickets in the league and top for the Delhi Capital with 24 wickets in 16 games.
After his impressive performances in the first half, he was selected as one of three players waiting for the Test team on the trip to England and received his first call-up to India in the T20I series at home against New Zealand. However, he did not get a chance to play his first game.
3. Ipl Auction – KS Bharat
(Base Price – 20 Lakhs)
Ever Since Captain Cool retired from International cricket, the scouts have been looking here and there to fill his boots. While Rishabh pant had been a regular starter in the Indian 11, his keeping skills have been a big question mark. To answer that we have KS Bharat
KS Bharat has been on the fringes of the Indian senior team for a while now. His wicket-keeping has been highly rated. He has a triple hundred to his name in the Ranji Trophy but it wasn’t until his performances in IPL 2021 that he shot into the limelight.
He proved his mettle in the run chase against Delhi Capitals where he pulled off a 166-run chase against a formidable bowling line-up pulling off a thrilling win by hitting a last-ball six with four runs required, off the second-highest wicket-taker of the tournament – Avesh Khan.
The world got to see a glimpse of his wicket-keeping talent when he took a couple of impressive catches and a stumping as a substitute for Wriddhiman Saha on Day 3 of the Kanpur Test against New Zealand a month later.
He was in brilliant form in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and his last two innings scores read – 161 not out and 156. In the tournament, he was Andhra Pradesh’s highest run-getter with 370 runs from 5 innings at 92.50.
4. Ipl Auction – Harpreet Brar
(Base Price – 20 Lakhs)
You got to be special to get out Virat Kohli, Ab Devillers and Glen Maxwell in a single match that too on a debut. A long, soft left-arm spinner, Brar has a good speed difference in its armory.
A brilliant glare on the disappointing Punjab Kings campaign, Brar was impressive in the IPL 2021 season. After losing four of the first six games, PBKS made changes and that is where Brar got his chance.. He scored 17 runs in 25 balls from his first game of the season against RCB and went on to make a special night by sending Kohli, Maxwell, and De Villiers to win the PBKS and win the Man of the Match award.
He also had a good home season, finishing with Punjab’s best economic level, faring just over 3.95. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he had the second-best economic rating with Punjab at 5.35.

5. Ipl Auction – Raj Bawa
(Base Price – 20 Lakhs)
Raj Angad Bawa Grandson of 1948 Olympic gold medalist Tarlochan Singh Bawa. The first line made us believe that sportsmanship runs through his veins but putting concurrently Raj Bawa has already made the nation proud with his match-winning spell in the finals of the U-19 world cup.
He also made his name in history by breaking Shikhar Dhawan’s record of scoring the highest runs made by an Indian at the U-19 World Cup. He scored 164 runs off 108 balls, with 14 4s and eight sixes, against Uganda.
Watch out for him in the Ipl Auction, he can easily change the course of the game with his bat and ball.
6. Ipl Auction – Rahul Tripathi
(Base Price – 40 Lakhs)
You can anticipate the Talent of a player who started his reign as a lower-order batsman and ends up being the opener.
Rahul Tripathi was one of the key players for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2021 season as he played a pivotal role in helping them reach the finals. He gave impetus to the middle order and hit a striking at the rate of 127.07. He got 230 runs in 11 innings.

The Maharashtra player has accidentally become a pacer. He used to bowl off-spin for Osmanabad U-14 regional team, but as his team struggled for a quick pacer, that’s when Hangargekar started bowling fast. He has succeeded under coach Mohan Jadhav in Pune and coach-cum-mentor Tejas Matapurkar at Veerangan Cricket Academy.
Not just that Rajvardhan can hit the quick runs and mighty sixes as well. All in all a complete all-rounder.
Having played 141.7 kph during the Under-19 World Cup semifinals, he has been marked as ‘one of the future’ by many cricket experts. The young cricketer is now looking for a big prize in Ipl auction and playing for the country.
