Bhuban Badyakar is a humble penny seller, a resident of Kuraljuri village, Lakshminarayanpur Panchayat in West Bengal. He cycles through nearby villages to sell peanuts to earn a living for 10 years. To attract buyers, he would sing the song called Kacha Badam. 

Coming from a poor background, he lived with his wife and children. He picked up the basket of peanuts to save his family. 

It so happened one day that due to the catchy lines and peppy tone of the song Kacha Badam, one of his customers got impressed. He clubbed with his business colleague, shared it online, and it quickly got viral. 

Before this, Bhuban Badyakri was struggling with a financial crisis. He would peddle up in nearby villages to sell peanuts and earn around Rs. 200-250/-

The unexpected response has created a sensation of euphoria, and people across the world are grooving to it. Whether they are making Instagram reels or Twitter memes, Bhuban Badyakar has received the recognition he deserves for his song, Kacha Badam.

The original song was uploaded on a YouTube channel, where later it was composed to make a remix song by musician Nazmu Reachat. 

The song became a nationwide hit. Bhuban Badyakar didn’t see this coming. He is overwhelmed with the response and wishes to pursue a musical career. He is not just a peanut seller but also has musical talents, which he is looking to explore for a better future for his family. 

Due to his shine and fame for Kacha Badam, Bhuban Badyakar was brought to the West Bengal Police Headquarters and was facilitated by West Bengal Police.

Bhuban Badyakar also collaborated for a Haryanvi remix of Kacha Badam.  

He also received Rs. 3 Lakh from the music company – Godhulibela Music, the label that first remixed his original song.  

The addicting song is played across the globe, and many creators are dancing to its tunes. The song became a hit in India and Bangladesh instantly, and soon it received recognition from the world. 

Bhuban Badyakar feels privileged to be recognized for Kacha Badam. He had never thought he would get famous for a song that he used to sing while selling peanuts.
