The station has seven platforms, and 50 trains are operated from the terminal. Apart from having general motion, the railway station will have an upper-class waiting hall, a VIP lounge, it will also have a digital real-time passenger information system, and a lavish food court.
The new Bengaluru station will also have a water-recycling plant of 4 lakh-liter capacity.
Like the airports, the Sir M. Visvesvaraya railway terminal will also have a sprawling parking area that accommodates hundreds of cars, two-wheelers, and other vehicles.
