The restaurant occupies one of the oldest buildings in Kanpur, earlier known as Cawnpore. During British times, the city of Cawnpore used to be of great importance to the British Corporation. Pink Zebra is an attempt to display the British Culture from the past.
Architects and Interior Designers
The place was designed and built by Renesa Architecture and Design Interior Studio. A team of interior designers, architects, and interns worked under the guidance of the chief architect Sanjay Arora. Through the design and architecture of the restaurant, the architects have tried to present a fusion of the former and modern ways of living. The natural light falling on the floor and the walls give the restaurant a shiny and polished appearance.
Inspiration Of Pink Zebra
The owners of Pink Zebra are Sagar and Jaivardhan Bhatia. The duo is a big fan of West Anderson. Anderson is a director in Hollywood Industry. West Anderson’s movies are known for using visuals with symmetry. The inspiration for creating the restaurant has been taken from him. The interior is completely pink, with white and black stripes running all over the pink base in different directions. The confined color palette used gives an expression of a self-contained and unreal world. To break this humdrum the white and black zebra stripes have been used.
Services Provided by The Restaurant
The Pink Zebra is spread over an area of 4000 square feet. It is a two-story restaurant. The terrace is covered, and the upper floor has a lounge in it. The lower floor comprises the dining area. The restaurant serves a variety of Indian dishes. Some food items served by them include Zucchini bites, baked broccoli, Biryani, Chicken tikka, etc.
The Idea Behind Pink Zebra
The key idea behind setting up this place was to create an experience full of magic and amazement for its customers. For the customers, the unusual color combination and the architecture are a treat for the eyes. The goal is to attract every person passing by to become a part of the unique experience the restaurant offers.
