Deepak Sharma’s fitness journey and the story behind it will make you get out of your bed and sweat it out. Well, we’ve all watched movies where the police officers are portrayed as the actual heroes. Fighting the goons like its nothing, jumping from heights without getting hurt, being charismatic effortlessly, are all the qualities we see in a police officer in the movies.

A Little About Deepak Sharma

Directors made several attempts at portraying the perfect police officer through characters such as Singham, Chulbul Pandey, and many more. And these characters motivated Deepak Sharma to step on this fitness journey.

Despite his tiresome and demanding job, he keeps up with his fitness regime. Taking care of his health and working out every single day is a part of his hectic schedule.

As known, he has been a part of some important proceedings inside the jail premises. One of such proceedings was the hanging of the Nirbhaya convicts. He collaborates with several NGOs inside the jail and conducts yoga and fitness training sessions. Other than being a jailor, his career as a bodybuilder is also quite popular among the community.

Deepak Sharma and His Fitness Routine

Having a supportive team has also helped him continue this journey. He has got the morning hours for his fitness routine and starts working from 1 to 10 in the night. Deepak Sharma is a role model for several people at the jail. His upright posture and superb physique have motivated several people in his department to take up fitness as well. That he’s an inspiration for many is not at all surprising.

In an interview, he mentioned that the inmates have also asked about his workout routine and diet plans. He said that when he had started out; he weighed 60kgs.

After he started building up, he weighed 110kgs at one point and started burning it and now weighs around 90kgs. Deepak Sharma’s everyday routine includes waking up at 7 a.m. and working out for 4-5 hours. He has around five to six meals a day, which he prepares himself. As Deepak Sharma belongs to a vegetarian family, he prepared his meals with fish, chicken and eggs in the morning itself.

Because of the Covid-19 outbreak and prevailing lockdown restrictions, Deepak Sharma found it difficult to keep up with his fitness regime at the gym. But he ensured to practice and workout at home to stay in shape. Therefore, we can say that the way he keeps up with his fitness regime balancing his demanding work is an inspiration for each one of us.
